Hezner tutorial – how Deploy Ubuntu on Hezner cloud – Hezner VPS

Heztner tutorial . How to deploy Ubuntu on Heztner cloud- Heztner Vps

Hi and welcome to this Hetzner tutorial. In this tutorial I’m going to show you how you can deploy Ubuntu on your Hetzner cloud.
We’re going to deploy a vps server with ubuntu. Under cloud, that’s where you’ll find VPS. Under dedicated these are dedicated servers.
You can use the Heztner DNS management software. You can also register domains.

If you want to look at the prices just click there and you’ll see the prices for VPS. First you need to create an account. You can just come here under login. Come in here under login and click on cloud if you want to create your hetzner account.

Click on register now.
Enter all these details and confirm your email and then you’ll continue adding more details like your personal information, address and so on. You’ll need to verify your identity.

You can do that once you register your account. And all you have to do is, you need to use some government issued id or a passport. You just need to take an image of that and then upload it and the system may automatically identify you .

You can just go ahead and sign up if you don’t have an Heztner account.

I’m just going to log into my account. And then I’m going to show you how you can deploy an Ubuntu server on Hetzner Cloud. Log into your Hetzner cloud .

A project is where all your servers will be. You can create a new project and group all your servers based on the project you’re working on. Or based on the systems that you want to deploy.
I’m just going to create a sample project.

I will add the project and then under this project I can deploy a new server.

I’m just going to click there on create server. You can see the servers you want to create. You can even create load balancers, IPs and so on. A I’m going to choose a Server location. Let me just choose Falkenstein. And that’s in Germany. So I’m going to choose that as my data center location. You can choose a location which is closest to you or closest to your visitors. Depending on where you are, just choose the closest area to where your visitors are.

Of course for an image you need to choose an operating system. You can choose an app if you want to install any of these applications.

You can Install an Ubuntu server.

Depending on the operating system that you choose here, you can also change the version. That’s it for that and then now you need to choose the prices. If you do want dedicated VPS you can choose that there. And the prices will be different .

These are just VPS’s that are dedicated. They will not have many tenants on the same server. There will be few tenants on that server so if you want something that is faster and won’t have lags and so on then you can try that, but of course I just want a standard VPS.

To host a website. Just choose the standard option. 2 CPUs and 2G ram.
. You can add a volume if you need to add more space. If you need to add more space on your server you can click there and you can choose a volume that you want to add. Maybe you want to add 20 GB. That’s going to cost you that, per month.

Okay. You can add additional space on your VPS if you want to. Networks, if you want to enable VPC that is virtual private networks
in the same data center, you can do that.

And then firewalls, you can set up your firewalls or you can just use the inbuilt firewall in your OS. You can use the inbuilt firewall in your operating system once you install your operating system which is Ubuntu. You can set up the firewall rules in your operating system. So I’m going to just forget about this but you can set that up as well .
